This weeks wedding is Amie and Zach. They are great couple with such awesome parents. Zach comes from New Mexico and California. Amie comes from Athens Georgia. They meet via a mutual friend and have been together since.
The wedding was like fun long weekend for everyone. They had rehearsal on Friday and had a rehearsal dinner at the Georgia Aquarium. The aquarium made for a beautiful back drop for a dinner. Where the guests can see sharks, tuna and whale sharks swimming by while they eat. It makes for a fun adventure while you eat.
The wedding took place on Saturday. The wedding coordinator was Ida from the House of Bash. It is important to have a wedding coordinator on your wedding day. There are a lot of moving parts to the wedding and Ida and her team did a great job of keeping everything going smoothly.
The bride and her friends got ready at a residence near the wedding venue. Zach and his friends got ready at the “W” in midtown which is also close to the venue. They got married at Piedmont Room at the south end of Piedmont Park. The Piedmont room was built in 1928, the Piedmont Room was first the home of the clubhouse for the golf course that resided within Piedmont Park. Now, it hosts some of Atlanta’s most memorable occasions. The original Stone Mountain granite walls and ivy-covered windows remain in the foyer while the main room features a modern feel with soaring windows, dark bamboo hardwoods and 15+’ ceilings.
After the wedding the guests had a cocktail hour to mingle among their selves. It was as if it was a family reunion and everyone was catching up with each other. After the cocktail hour everyone sat down for dinner with music from Amp’d DJ services. There was sit down meal that was served by professional the staff at the Piedmont Room.
Once everyone was served there were toasts to the bride and groom. Then there was the dancing! Everyone had a great time dancing the night away with their partners and friends. the DJ did a great job keeping the party going! After the dancing there was a sparkler exit where everyone gathered outside to send off the happy couple!
