This week’s wedding is Carly and Stewart.  They are a true Ironman couple!  The wedding was at my favorite venue Naylor Hall.   It was a wedding to remember.

Naylor Hall is a beautiful venue that is in the heart of historic Roswell.  It is a historic mansion with one of the largest front yards in Roswell.  It makes a beautiful backdrop to any wedding.   I am a big fan of Sunny the owner of Naylor Hall.  She is an event professional with many years experience in planning and weddings.  The manager Abbey is also a joy to work with! They, including their gracious staff, make a great team for any wedding or special event.  It is an honor to work with so many wonderful people.

Carly the bride loves adventure and physical activities.  A couple of years ago she did the Ironman competition.  The Ironman race consists of a 112 mile bicycle ride, a 2.4 mile swim and finally a 26.22 full marathon. You will burn about 11,00 calories in the race.   It is a grueling event that very few can do.  She has done it and so has her husband.  It takes lots of training and endurance and is not for the faint of heart.  They are a couple with commitment and determination.

The day started with the bridesmaids arriving first.  The bride arrived a few moments later after taking care of her dog Angel.  Her dress was stunning.  It had a lace front with a satin sleeve cut body.  It also had a long train that was attached at the waist of the dress.  It was a beautiful dress that  looked good walking down the aisle and bustle during the reception.  The bridesmaids wore matching forest green dresses that I can honestly say they will probably wear again because they looked so classy.

The ceremony was held in front of Naylor Hall.   The bride arrived in a classic Mercedes convertible that her father left her when she was 16 years old.  It was a sentimental tip of the hat to her deceased dad.  Carly’s mom walked her down the aisle and their minister David proceeded over the ceremony.  The couple wrote their own vows and they were light hearted and touching at the same time.  They were an Ironman team working together. After the vows the couple did a sand ceremony.  Once that was done the minister announced the couple husband and wife.  They were so excited and held up their arms together like the good team they are.

The cocktail hour was held in the side yard of Naylor Hall.  The couple mingled with their guests and caught up with old friends. It was a beautiful evening that had perfect weather for an outdoor Georgia wedding.  Once everyone had a few cocktails it was time to go inside for dinner and the reception.

The reception was held in the banquet hall located in the back of Naylor Hall.  The guests were served salmon and chicken with the most delicious cheese gratin potatoes ever. After dinner the bride and groom were announced.  They came in and thanked their guests.  They then went straight into their first dance.  After that they did a customary groom and mother dance but then the bride did a fun brother and bride dance since her dad had passed away when she was 16.  It was a joyous dance that everyone enjoyed and appreciated.  After that the dance floor was open and the party began.  The group knew how to cut a rug.  They had a rocking live band that played throughout the night. Until it was time for the sendoff t.  They guests lined up down the steps and cheered the couple on as they exited a wedding to remember for a lifetime!
