This week’s wedding took place in one of my favorite cities around Atlanta: Roswell Georgia! If you read last week’s blog you got a brief history of the founder of Roswell, Roswell King. His residence, a large gorgeous mansion called Barrington Hall, was named after his son, Barrington. It is the crowning jewel of the historic buildings in the Roswell area.

This week’s couple had a micro wedding with a small group of friends and family. They had their wedding at The Mill Restaurant and Bar, located in the heart of the historic Roswell District. The restaurant is named after Roswell King’s Mill Factory. This mill was one of the first businesses in Roswell and helped build the town’s economy.

For the couple’s family photos, they decided to go to the park across the street from restaurant. As luck would have it, there was a wedding going on at that very same park. Since I have shot so many times in that area I suggested we shoot at Barrington Hall. Within a few steps we were in the front yard of that gorgeous mansion, where we had a fun shoot using the gardens, front yard and grand porch! It was just a happy accident that we were so close to such a beautiful location and a few steps from the restaurant. We were so lucky and had a variety of shots done in a few minutes!

The ceremony itself was a beautiful intimate wedding. The couple celebrated with just their closest friends and family all from Georgia and Florida. The atmosphere throughout the whole day was so fun! You could tell how proud the bride’s father was and how he absolutely loved sharing this special day with everyone. They also had some yummy desserts at the reception, including a really cute wedding cake and the southern classic, banana pudding! After the cake cutting it was time to cut loose! Everyone danced to some fun wedding classics and had a genuinely good time! It was great to be part of this couple’s special day!
