Atlanta Wedding Photographers shoot at the Historic Decatur Courthouse

This week we had the honor of shooting a wedding at the historical wedding venue the Decatur Courthouse.   It is the jewel of downtown Decatur and a wonderful venue that is a pure joy to shoot at! The couple could not have been more fun!! The bride and groom had everything planned out so it made the day easy and breezy.

We started at the hotel which is walking distance from the Decatur Court House.  Every thing is so close together at in the Decatur area and the Courthouse is in the center of it all.

We did a first look at the gazebo in the rear of the courthouse. The couple were so thoughtful to each other and the groom was truly taken back from the brides beauty.  She wore a simple gown with a tasteful train.  The brides maids were just a joy and were checking in on the couple during the first look.

We did some photos on the Decatur square where there was a marching band playing.  They were dressed in colorful uniforms and some were dressed as clowns.  They two were excited for the bride and and groom!  They even did a little tune for them.  It was all very spontaneous and sweet.

We then went in to the courthouse and started photos there.  We took advantage of the place before any one got there.  The couple practiced their first dance in the spacious hall.  They could move around with freedom and just have fun!  Is that not what you want to do on your wedding day!

I want to thank the couple for the honor of being their wedding photographer!  I want to thank you for visiting my blog.  I would love to hear from you! Please drop me a line at the contact section of the website.

Thanks again!

David
