It’s no secret that, while a wedding centers around a couple, the focus tends to lean towards the bride. We compliment her accessories and the photographer takes glamour shots of her in her gown. All for good reason, as the bride absolutely deserves to have an amazing time and feel special on her big day. However, as the other half of the happy couple, the groom also deserves to feel special on his big day. The Atlanta wedding photographers have taken many photos highlighting special moments surrounding the groom, so this week we want to showcase some of those photos and shine a spotlight on our awesome Atlanta grooms!

Our grooms and their groomsmen have had some really fun and unique accessories made for the big day. From ties and bow ties to socks to cuff links, grooms have found countless ways to show off their personalities. These special details can have a heartfelt meaning, or can be a gift from a loved one or close friend. They can also be a way for the groom to show his connection and bond with his groomsmen with matching accessories. This is also the perfect opportunity for the photographer to capture the moment of the groom getting dressed up in these accessories and hanging with his closest friends as he gets ready for the next chapter in his life.

In addition to the “getting ready” shots, our Atlanta wedding photographers have found many important moments throughout the day that include our groom. The groom’s face as he waits for a first look at his bride, the fun moments between the groom and his groomsmen, and the mother/son dance at the reception can all lead to heartfelt photographs that he will want to keep forever. The more candid the shot, the better, so that the true emotion of the occasion can shine through! Another neat idea is to give the groom his moment to shine and photograph some professional posed photos of him dressed to the nines in his wedding ensemble. After all, it’s his wedding day, too!

We have worked with so many awesome grooms and have captured lots of awesome moments with them on camera. Moments that highlight the groom can be just as powerful as moments with the bride and provide a bigger picture of the big day that many people often don’t show.
