As you all know, it’s almost Halloween! There are tons of people who really get into this holiday and have even Themed their wedding around it. Here are our favorite scary-good Halloween wedding ideas that our Atlanta Wedding Photographers have seen!
Location
Location is very important to the theme and atmosphere of your celebration. One of our Atlanta couples had the very cool idea to do their engagement session in a historic cemetery. You may not be able to hold a whole ceremony in a cemetery but it may be possible to get some cool photos while all done up in your wedding attire. You can also make any historic mansion or home venue into a haunted house fairly easily!
Decor
Naturally you can use the decor to set the tone too. You can make your color scheme orange and black and have fall leaves and pumpkins (possibly even Jack-O-Lanterns) everywhere, along with orange lights. A few of our couples have asked their wedding guests and vendors to come dressed in costume, which is very fun! Not to mention that it is becoming more and more popular for brides to have non-traditional dresses in whatever color they want, such as black.
Food
Your catering is another place where you can get creative. You can really plan a creative creepy cake idea with your baker, and you can even use cupcakes for a simpler design or create signature themed cocktails/drinks instead. Also, if you’re going to have kids at your wedding you can hide candy around the reception and have them go “trick-or-treating” for the candy. They’ll definitely get a kick out of that!
