This is the time of year when I am looking forward to this year's weddings and visiting some of my favorite venues. If you have been following our blog you will see that one of our favorite venues is Naylor Hall. Naylor is a beautiful historic mansion in Roswell, Georgia that’s the perfect mix of coziness and elegance. It's a wonderful choice to hold your ceremony and reception.

Built in the 1840’s by Barrington King for H.W. Proudfoot and his wife, Euphemia, the original part of what would later become Naylor Hall was built as a home featuring a four room clapboard cottage with a central fireplace. Mr. King, son of the city of Roswell’s founder, employed Mr. Proudfoot as a bookkeeper in his newly constructed Roswell Mills.

In the late 1930’s Colonel Harrison Broadwell purchased the property, naming it as it is known today as Naylor Hall in honor of his wife’s family. He additionally added many of the improvements that can still be found today, such as the columns, the handcrafted woodwork, and the portico encompassing the original structure.

Naylor's beautiful white columns, large front yard, and horseshoe drive make it one of the jewels of the historic district. The outside area is perfect for your ceremony, reception, or both! They also have a wonderful foyer for greeting your guests. Separating the foyer is the bar and then you enter in the dinning room or ball room, which are also perfect for hosting your event. This area has hardwood floors and gorgeous windows to view the beautiful landscaping.

Of course the real selling point of the venue is the incredible staff, who work tirelessly to make each event perfect for their guests. They're like a well-oiled machine and make sure not only that things go smoothly, but also that it is everything you’ve dreamed of. From carriage rides to drive-through weddings, Naylor has done it all! The staff is headed by Abbey, who is calm, resourceful, pragmatic, as well as friendly and kind. She makes Naylor the top notch venue it is and she is definitely who you want on your side on your wedding day.
