Ventana’s Roof top helipad - by the Atlanta wedding Photographers at AtlantaArtisticWeddings
As a kid who grew up in a small town in North Carolina I am amazed at Atlanta. It has brought me so many opportunities and inspired my photography. When I came to Atlanta I was a few years out of college and had a camera that my parents got me. I then started working for a archaeology company where they had a darkroom and I developed film from the archaeologists and historians. I then started shooting more and more developing my own film.

As shooting more I wanted to have a free lance photography business. I started shooting hotels and real estate. But what I love to shoot was people. I answered an ad for an assistant wedding photographer. I feel in love with it! I shot more more weddings and eventually started to build a portfolio. Then I started to work for a wedding photography company that hired local photographers. Did that for a couple of years than started to shoot wedding on my own. That was over 20 years ago.

Over this time I have shot over 500 weddings in and around Atlanta. I have had the honor of shooting at some the best venues in Atlanta. I have also gotten exposed to so many cultures and customs. This has been my favorite part of shooting. The people and cultures have taken me on so many adventures. I would have never had these opportunities if I had not moved to Atlanta.

I have fallen in love with the rich history of Atlanta. The historic architecture and unique venues that are hidden to most of the public. The special roof tops of Ventanas and Rhodes Hall that are scattered across the city that you can only use if you have special access or occasion like a wedding. The special elevators in the hotels that take you in the back way to large ballrooms in the Georgian Terrace and maybe into the main gallery in the High Museum of Art.

I get to restored historic mansions in around the city. Like Naylor Hall in historic Roswell. There is the Biltmore Ballrooms, Summerour Studios, The Foundry at Puritan Mill, Westside Warehouse. Guardian Works, The Fox Theater, The Wimbish House and one of my other favorites Rhodes Hall.
