This week’s wedding is Raphael and Mehrael. They are such a sweet and thoughtful couple. They are devoted to their faith, family and each other. The wedding took place at the several places. The day started at the Hilton Garden Inn where the bride and groom got ready. Then we took the family photos at Ventana’s on the balcony and then the rooftop’s helipad. Once done there we went to St Mary of Egypt Orthodox Church in Roswell. Where the ceremony was located.

I got there early at the hotel and saw Raphael at the front desk where he proceeded to give me the elevator keys so we could go to the rooms for the getting ready photography. Mehrael was getting her make up done when I got there. We did the detail of the shots of the dress and assories while she was getting her makeup done. I went upstairs while the second photographer did a first look with the bride and bridesmaids. The girls were so cute and excited for our bride!

Once done we went to Ventanas for the couples first look and family photos. Ventanas Atlanta is a bright, modern event space in the heart of the city that blends industrial charm with warm, architectural details. High ceilings, large windows, and exposed brick create a naturally luminous backdrop ideal for both intimate ceremonies and lively receptions. The versatile layout allows for seamless transitions between ceremony, cocktail hour, and dancing, while elegant finishes and thoughtful lighting make styling simple and impactful. Located close to Atlanta’s best hotels and landmarks, Ventanas offers convenience for guests and fantastic photo opportunities—from sunlit portraits to moody nighttime frames—making it a favorite for couples seeking a contemporary, artful wedding venue. We took the first look photos on the balcony and the wedding party photos on the rooftop’s helipad.

St Mary of Egypt Orthodox Church is a beautiful place of worship. Everyone there was so friendly! They could not have been more gracious. The church is decorated in the style of most orthodox churches the with saints and classic paintings on the wall.

Coptic wedding ceremonies blend deep-rooted Christian tradition with intimate, symbolic ritual. Often held in the Coptic Orthodox Church, the service centers on a sacramental crowning that signifies the couple’s union as a shared kingdom and a sacred covenant before God. Rich liturgy, sung prayers, incense, and readings in Coptic and/or Arabic create a reverent, timeless atmosphere. Rituals include the exchange of rings, blessing of the rings by the priest, the crowning of the bride and groom with ornate crowns or garlands, and the ceremonial common cup symbolizing shared life and faith. Processions, hymns, and moments of silent prayer emphasize community, family, and spiritual witness. For couples and guests, a Coptic wedding is both a public celebration and a contemplative, devotional milestone—rooted in centuries-old practice and marked by warmth, symbolism, and a profound sense of sacred continuity.

Once the ceremony was done then it was a back to Ventanas. Where there were cocktails and snacks for the guests. After about an hour or so the wedding party were announced the came in dancing with lots of fun energy. One even came in with a gorilla suit. You know it is going to be a party when you have a man in gorilla suit!. After that the bride and groom came in. Everyone started dancing and the guests hoisted the bride and groom in the air like the superstars they are! It was lots of fun and love in the air. After the dancing thing settled down and we had dinner served table by table. Then we did the toasts from from the groom’s sister and friends. The bride had a childhood friend do a heart felt toast to how thoughtful she is. We then cut the cake and danced some more! We took a brief break and went back up to the rooftop at the blue hour and took more photos. Then it was time for the wedding exit. Where the couple danced through the guests to the elevator and on to their honeymoon!
