I have always dreamt of photographing a Halloween wedding, and this week, that dream came true! I am incredibly grateful to Madison and Michael for this honor. They are such a wonderful and generous couple, and their love story began on Halloween, making this date even more special for them.

When Madison first reached out to me about their Halloween-themed wedding, I was elated! The idea of guests dressing up and fully embracing the spooky spirit was thrilling. They transformed their home into a hauntingly beautiful setting, adorned with cobwebs draping over photos and tilted frames that created an eerie yet charming ambiance.

Madison embodied the classic spooky bride from head to toe. She wore black Victorian lace-up granny boots and a stunning A-line ballroom dress with a flowing train. Complementing her look, she had black gloves and a striking black veil. Michael matched the theme perfectly with his dapper pinky binders look, complete with a vest and a Victorian tweed driver’s cap. They looked absolutely fabulous!

We started with a first look in their backyard, where the couple sought privacy for their vows. Once they exchanged heartfelt promises, we moved on to portraits. The sunlight was just right, and their home backed up to a powerline corridor that provided a breathtaking backdrop of backlit tall grass and a secluded setting. We had a blast capturing their joy—Madison and Michael were so much fun!

As we wrapped up our portraits, we tucked Madison away to prepare for the guests’ arrival. This is when the festivities took a wonderfully quirky turn. Madison’s dad arrived dressed as Dr. Evil to escort her down the aisle, setting the tone for a memorable ceremony. Friends began to arrive in an array of costumes: steampunks, sailors, a chicken, a bear, and even seven Luigis from Mario Kart. It was a colorful crew ready to celebrate this special occasion!

The wedding ceremony was short and sweet, filled with love and laughter. Afterward, we captured a large group shot of the couple with all their guests. The reception featured delicious food from a local Cuban restaurant, and for the football fans in attendance, the Georgia Bulldogs vs. Florida Gators game played on a screen behind the mobile bar. It was a wonderfully vibrant and joyous celebration.
