This week I had a great time with Korey and Rachael in historic Roswell, Georgia. We were originally supposed to shoot in Piedmont Park but we found out Friday that it was the Shakey Knees festival weekend. Then on top of that it poured rain Saturday night and the Park was a mess! So I suggested a few places in Roswell. Korey and Rachael agreed.

We started early right at Sunrise at the Barrington Hall in Roswell. Barrington Hall was completed in 1842 for Barrington King, one of the founding members of Roswell. The grounds and house have been preserved with care and the formal garden is one of the oldest public gardens in the Atlanta metro area. Sitting across from Roswell's historic Town Square. It has a private garden and large alley of oaks that lead to the large porch.

I brought a few bottles of champagne for the morning photo session. Since we got there early the light was dim enough that I could back light them with a flash from behind. I even used a second flash to light up the porch in the background. It was a lot of fun for everyone and it helped loosen everyone up a little so we could have fun with the rest of the photos. While we were at the historic mansions we did a few more photos on the walk way and even went to the garden and took some photos by the stone wall outside the mansion. Once we were finished there we went to Roswell Mill.

Roswell Mill, One of the most beautiful areas in Roswell is the Old Mill Trail along Vickery Creek. Here, ruins of the Roswell Manufacturing Company mills are found. Constructed in the 1800s, these mills were among the most successful in Georgia and a leading provider of goods to the Confederacy during the Civil War. A 30-foot dam and millrace were constructed to supply power to run the mills.

We wondered around the covered bridge and river. Korey and Rachael were climbing and moving around like ninjas! We had a lot of fun and I am looking forward to the wedding!
