You never know what kind of requests you will get in an email. A few weeks ago Hunter contacted me and said he wanted to propose to his girlfriend Laney. He was super excited and had the whole thing planned out. He shared a map with the exact location of where he was going to drop to a knee and surprise her.

Leading up to the big day I did my research to the location of where all of this is going to go down. From where I live it takes approximately an hour with out traffic. I had my work cut out for me.

A few days before the photoshoot I started getting some texts from Hunter. The location of the wedding proposal was changing to Shiloh Gardens which is a event venue with a social conscious. It is the home for Furkids Animal Rescue which is an awesome organization that finds forever homes for animals. They have rescued more than 65,000 animals since its founding in 2002. It is a sparling property that has a event facility, and support buildings for the animals.

When the day for the proposal arrived I went to Shiloh Gardens. There was an open area near these water features. This was the area he chose to propose. When I was in place I messaged him a photo of where I was at.

At 11:30 am Laney and he arrived. I was at a park table with my camera hidden beside me. I acted like I was on my phone so they walked right on by. When he got into place I started taking photos. Laney was surprised and did not know what he was doing. He reached into his pocket and got the ring then proceeded to get down on one knee. He asked the love of his life to marry him and she said yes!

After her proposed and Laney composed herself. Hunter told her I was there capturing the moment. I gave them some space to soak everything in. Once they were settled we walked around and took a few photos of the engaged couple. They were so excited.

I want to thank the Hunter and Laney for the honor of capturing such a special moment. I also want to thank Furkids Animal Shelter and the staff at Shiloh Gardens for being so gracious and kind.
