What I think is so cool about being an Atlanta wedding photographer is that I get to go to so many funky places. I get to go to the fancy facility but also get to navigate through the hidden tunnels and stairways that take you behind the scenes that are the underbelly of the facility where only the selected workers go. A great example would be the the torrent on the roof of Rhodes Hall. If you did not know the secret staircase was there you would think it was just a decoration on the roof of the building. On that roof location is one the most unique views of Atlanta from and historic landmark.

I also am not afraid to go where most photographers don’t go. One of the things I love is shooting before sunrise in Atlanta. The lighting is perfect! If you start before sunrise you get the blue hour lighting of the sky. If you keep shooting you can capture the sunrise as it happens. Then nature gives you that warm light at a low angle so you can get this backlighting that is to die for. You also get locations like Piedmont Park all to your self. It becomes your own personal park. Sunrise at Piedmont Park there are few people there like maybe 1o people in the whole park then 2 hours later there will be thousands of people wondering through the park with their dogs, running in groups and playing pokemon!

I also like the historic sections around Atlanta such as historic Roswell, Norcross and Decatur. There are so many locations in these areas. You have the railroad that runs through historic Norcross then the the park to the side of the downtown square. In Decatur you have the historic courthouse with the side streets filled with historic buildings. There is also the Decatur Square where they have unique sculptures and public gatherings. In downtown Roswell they have several historic mansions that are a dream to shoot at. My favorite wedding venue Naylor Hall is located there.,
