I think the best wedding photographers are fans of other wedding photographers. We look at other wedding photographers for inspiration. If you talk to musicians they never say I only listen to their own music. They listen to a variety of music to get inspired. They get enjoyment listening to other kinds of music and it makes their music richer. I look at Instagram for inspiration. I look at other photographers constantly for enjoyment and inspiration.

I am not afraid to say I look at Instagram and other wedding photographers for inspiration. I like to to see what other photographers and artists are doing and how they look at things. To that point I recently saw where they attached a video camera to a dog at a wedding. Instead of saying that a dog can not shoot a wedding. I noticed that the dog got so many shots that where awesome. The dog could go any where and he was welcomed! Where ever he went people loved him. They all had a smile for him. Also the cool thing was that the dog’s perspective was unique. It was lower to the ground and going under tables and running through the guests. It was like a ride at a amusement park. Fun at every turn!

I also repost other photos from Instagram to inspire my followers. I follow many bridal designers. I hope that will inspire ideas for dresses and what kind of dress will my brides like. I also share posts from venues. I will repost weddings from my favorite venues to inspire followers. I will repost wedding designs. There are so many ideas out there and I like to share some of my favorite wedding planners and designers to my followers.

I also get inspiration from the wedding photographers I work with. When I am working with Tara, Sarah or Benny I watch them and learn from them. They are inspire me to be a better photographer and to bring my “A” game to the wedding!
