The number one thing is planning. If you want your proposal/engagement to be photographed please coordinate with your photographer. That way the photographer can be discreet and not ruin your moment. A good photographer knows how to capture the moment and not take away from your marriage proposal.

Also, pick a location that reflects your personality. Be sure to scout out the location beforehand to make sure it fits what you need. There are so many wonderful locations in the Atlanta area. I have done several at Piedmont Park. There are several beautiful city skyline views that you can shoot from depending on what you want. If you want to get on top of a building you have a couple of options. I have shot at Ventanas and the Ponce City Market Roof. Both of these locations are beautiful but you need to make reservations and pay a fee.

If you are an outdoorsy couple there are some great locations inside and outside the Atlanta perimeter. Inside the perimeter there are over 100 parks in varying size and profiles. There are also several small parks in the neighborhoods downtown where you won’t attract attention. Outside the perimeter you have beautiful rivers, streams and even mountains north of the city.

The Atlanta Wedding Photographers at AtlantaArtisticWeddings.com are Thankful!
A big thank you to Atlanta and the team at Atlanta Artistic Weddings!
Since it is close to Thanksgiving, I wanted to write a blog on being thankful. I was looking at our instagram page and I noticed that we are up to 1,000 posts!
I am so thankful to Heather who is in charge of social media and is editor of the website. She is the one that writes all those posts on Instagram. I have gotten many compliments on her posts. It was Heather’s idea to have Fun Fact Friday! I look forward to her Friday posts. I have shot 100s of weddings but I still learn something every Friday! She shares insights about weddings and historical background on many wedding traditions. You feel smarter after checking out her Friday posts.
Magic Moments Venues by the Atlanta Wedding Photographers at AtlantaArtisticWeddings
As an Atlanta wedding photographer I shoot a lot of wedding venues. Every year I shoot at a couple of Magic Moments wedding venues. This company runs six award-winning Atlanta area event venues. They run Flint hill, The Atrium, Primrose Cottage, Little Gardens, Cloverleaf Farm and Vinewood Stables. At all of those venues A Divine Event usually does the catering, floral and design work for the weddings.
Finally Having the Wedding They Wanted!
This weeks wedding is about a couple who, like a lot of couples, had to put off their wedding plans due to Covid-19. Hayden and Kaitlyn got engaged almost 2 years ago and, after rescheduling twice, they finally got to have the wedding they always wanted with their friends and family.
Now let’s go back a few years. They dated and fell in love and, after a while, they took a romantic European vacation. While looking into the sea from the high cliffs of Ireland, Hayden got down on one knee and proposed to Kaitlyn.
The Fabulous Fox Theater and Historic Atlanta Catholic Church Serve as a Backdrop to Beautiful Wedding
This week’s wedding will go down in Atlanta Artistic Weddings history as one of the best weddings ever! The couple choose two of the most Iconic wedding venues in Atlanta. They held their ceremony at the Catholic Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, which is one of the oldest catholic churches in the southeast, and their reception took place at the Fabulous Fox Theater!
First, I want to give you a little background on this awesome couple. To know them is to know they love to dance! They are talented competitive ballroom dancers who have even gone to professional dance competitions. A lot of their friends are also competitive dancers. When we met, they explained how important dancing was to them. When you see them dance, their passion for the art form comes alive. You can also see the strong connection they have, since they are so in tune with each other while they dance.

I love photography, especially wedding photography, and I always consider it an honor to photograph every wedding. This is especially true for the ceremony I photographed last weekend.
