Early Morning Engagement Photos in Historic Roswell
Atlanta Wedding photographers at AtlantaArtisticWeddings capture early morning photos in Historic Roswell GeorgiaOne of my favorite shots now is the champagne photo, where I get the couple celebrating with a bottle of champagne. In the morning the sun is behind Naylor Hall so the porch is a little dim. This was perfect for adding some flashes behind the couple. I positioned Michelle behind Zach with her foot blocking the flash. Zach opened the bottle and started to shake so that the champagne started to spray. The flash was going off behind them and illuminating the spray for a dramatic moment of celebration!

5 Questions You Need To Ask Your Wedding Photographer Before You Book
A wedding photographer’s job is to capture every detail of your big day with little to no intrusion or stress. Because the photographer(s) will be spending a lot of time with you, documenting intimate and emotional moments, you’ll want to make sure you’re comfortable with them. Here are a few key questions you should ask a wedding photographer before hiring them.
Classic Black And White Photojournalism
As an Atlanta wedding photographer I like experimenting and trying out all kinds of styles of photography. However, I think one of my favorites is the black and white photo documentary style of photography. It is perfect for wedding photography for many reasons. Check out our black and white photo gallery and read on to find out why this photography style is so special.
Engagement Shoot at the Historic Naylor Hall in Roswell Georgia by the Atlanta Wedding Photographers at AtlantaArtisitcWeddings
This week’s photo session is at my favorite venue, Naylor Hall. It was a combination engagement, educational, and promotional session. Over the years I have become friends with the staff there. Two of my treasured friends are Cameron and Abbey. Cameron is working on his video portfolio. He came up with the idea of shooting his sister Sammie and her fiancé John's engagement session at Naylor Hall.

Hindu Wedding Ceremony Captured by Atlanta Wedding Photographers
This week's wedding is Ananya and Akshay, two of the most generous and hardworking people I have met in a long time. Both are in med school and in the middle of their rotations, which can be up to 80 hours a week. When Ananya left the wedding after the ceremony, she went back to work the next day, helping sick people in need.
Ananya contacted me about 5 months ago for her wedding. She explained to me that this was going to be the typical 2-day affair with Sangeet and Mehndi on the first night and Baraat and Hindu ceremony the second day. It would be a combination of northern and southern Indian traditions. I told her how much I loved Indian weddings. They have the best food and by far the best dancing!
5 Qualities Of A Good Wedding Photographer
Your wedding photographer is probably the most important vendor you’ll hire for your wedding day, after the venue. They will be responsible for preserving this intimate and special milestone for you to have for the rest of your life. Here are a few things you should think about when hiring your wedding photographer.
5 Characteristics Of A Good Wedding Venue
Engagement Photo Locations around Atlanta
When choosing a location for an engagement shoot I am thinking of a few things, but first and foremost I want to know more about the couple. I want to know their personalities. To help with picking Atlanta photo locations I have made a list of some popular spots i love to use for engagement sessions.
Choose Kimball Hall For Your Big Day!
Kimball Hall, a historic two story Queen Anne house dating from the 1880′s, is the picture perfect setting for a romantic wedding or event in Downtown Roswell! Our Atlanta wedding photographers have had the pleasure of shooting there many times and it’s always a treat! Here’s a little more about this award-winning highly rated Atlanta wedding venue.
Atlanta Wedding Proposal at Botanical Gardens and Piedmont Park
One of my favorite things as an Atlanta wedding photographer is to be invited to document important moments in people's lives. This week I was contacted by Neel who wanted to have a surprise proposal and ask his girlfriend of many years to marry him. He wanted to do it at Atlanta Botanical Gardens. We talked about logistics, and I put it on my calendar.
Magic Moments Plans The Event Of Your Dreams
As you might have guessed recently, our Atlanta wedding photographers have a special fondness for Magic Moments wedding and the six venues they run. I’ve shown you a little bit about the specific venues but this week I want to tell you a bit about this superb company that keeps the wheels turning at each one of these special places.
The Atrium Is A Modern Fairytale
One of the most contemporary venues run by Magic Moments, a premiere Atlanta event planning company, happens to be The Atrium. Located in historic Norcross, Georgia, this unique, neoclassical space is a modern version of an ancient Greek temple surrounded by a fragrant secret garden. If you’d like to learn more about The Atrium and why it may be perfect for your wedding, then read on!
Primrose Cottage Makes For Dreamy Wedding Backdrop
Little Gardens Is A Gem Of A Venue
One of the most majestic venues we get to work with is Little Gardens. With a capacity of up to 300 as well as ample photo-ops available, this venue is actually quite large. The impressive house and ballroom sit grandly atop a hill, on a seven-acre estate in Lawrenceville, Georgia, far removed from the hustle and bustle of downtown Atlanta. There are many reasons this venue is superb, so let me tell you a bit about it (paraphrasing some from it's website).
Atlanta Wedding Photographers Capture Naylor Hall Wedding In Historic Roswell

This week’s wedding takes place at my favorite venue in Atlanta, Naylor Hall. Naylor is in the Roswell historic district, north of metro Atlanta. The beauty of this venue is only matched by the incredible staff.

AC and Jeremy picked Naylor for their wedding venue. They loved the location, the venue, and most of all Abbey. Abbey is the manager of the venue and does a fabulous job. She brings years of experience and has been mentored by one of the best in the business.
It was a gorgeous day. AC and Jeremy did not want a first look, so they arrived separately. AC arrived first and went upstairs to the bridal room. The bridal room at Naylor is the perfect get away from the hustle and bustle of the wedding so the bride and bridesmaids can get ready uninterrupted. There is a separate bathroom and plenty of mirrors and space for the wedding party.
When Jeremy arrived, he went upstairs to the groom’s room with his guys. They got dressed and isolated themselves from the guests.
When the ladies were ready, I took them downstairs where they were greeted by the bride’s family. Everyone was so excited to see her in her wedding dress for the first time. It was a fanback or fishtail cut dress with a medium length train. I am a fan of these dresses because they look great going down the aisle with the train and can easily be bustled for the reception. This particular dress required one button to be bustled.

During the photos with the family the bridesmaids patiently waited. Once done with the family, AC did a few photos with the bridesmaids and then went outside to the front of Naylor Hall for some fun casual shots with the ladies. They were so much fun and were offering support for AC throughout the shoot. It was getting close to the wedding time, so I took them inside and took a few more photos with the guys.

The ceremony was held in front of Naylor Hall. The weather cooperated and we had great weather, not too cold and not too hot. The guests were seated facing the front porch where the minister stood. The wedding party came out from the side of the venue and walked down the side entrance to the sidewalk. They lined up behind the large tree in the yard so the guests could not see them. The bride’s grandmother went first then the parents. The bridesmaids were escorted by the groomsmen and made a half circle around the steps of the porch. AC’s dad came back and escorted her to the ceremony. This was the first time Jeremy saw her in her dress. He became a little emotional seeing her coming towards him.
It was a very short ceremony with prayers and exchanging of rings. Once they were announced bride and groom the guests cheered and greeted them as husband and wife. They even stopped during their exit from the ceremony for an extra married kiss.

We did a few photos with the guests and the rest of the family on the porch. Once done I took the couple out to the front of the house to the sidewalk along Canton Street. I have never done that before and now I ask myself why? They were a lot of fun and very casual. I also took some photos of the couple in the hedges out front to break up the usual shots that I do. It was a lot of fun and gave them some unique photos.

The reception was held in the ballroom where the wedding party was announced. The couple came in last and went straight into the first dance as husband and wife. There was the blessing, and they had a delicious dinner served by Naylor’s best caterer. Once dinner was done, they did the parents’ dances and then toasts. Then it was party time! Hal the DJ cranked up the music and the guests got to the ballroom floor and started to cut a rug. Everyone had a great time. Then like always every party must end. The guests went outside to line up for the exit. While they did that AC and Jeremy stayed back and did a private dance with just them. It was a nice private moment that they could share just between them after a busy wedding day. Then they went outside where the guests cheered them on as husband and wife. A perfect ending to a great wedding.
